Use 1337x.to rarbg or rutracker, highly moderated public torrent trackers, because Pirate Bay has long been shut down, unmoderated, and cloned by some shady actors AND use Mullvad VPN (or any other vpn but mullvad is the best definitely) to protect your ip address while you torrent, bind it to qbittorrent and do not use utorrent anymore either because it is littered with adware.
OR if you don’t want to pay for a VPN, use direct download or streaming sites. Please y’all just take one pass through on the r/piracy or r/freemediaheckyeah mega threads to find whatever you want for free and also not infect your computer with Trojan viruses.

I use this streaming service called Plex, which is free.
The selection of titles available on Plex is... not great. It's very much "free tv" kind of stuff. But what Plex does do, is it has a premium service for AU$6.50/month (about 4 or 5 bucks US I think) where you can host your own little database of movies, and your Plex friends can access your movies through it and watch them the same as if they were on the service. So like, if you make fun fan vids, you can share them with all your friends! Or if you have a collection of old movies that you own the distribution rights to, you can distribute them! If you, for example, have the definitely legal distribution rights to your favourite movies and tv shows, and your friends have theirs, you can stick them on a hard drive somewhere connected to a premium Plex account and give everyone access to those shows and movies that you want to preserve. It does involve someone in the circle knowing where to get the shows. But once they have them, they're there for everyone in the group.
Also see jellyfin, which was forked from plex and has less features and worse clients because it is newer but is free and open source

Just found out that the dietary calorie is still measured by burning food in a "bomb calorimeter" and then measuring the heat produced. There's no solid evidence that this method is at all equivalent to how our bodies process food (an entirely different chemical process from combustion), the accuracy of this system has been disputed for as long as it's existed, and there are no available alternatives
There are 4800 calories in a kilogram of dry sawdust even though wood is completely indigestible to humans, because calories don't measure nutritional value, just how well something burns

It doesn’t stop there though, almost everything we think we know about nutrition is kind of bullshit.
- You need 2000-2500 calories a day? There’s no evidence to support that claim. It’s fully a made up number.
- Calories in - calories out = weight gain or loss’? Absolute bullshit. No credible scientist believes this anymore. Your body compensates for dieting in like a billion ways to the point where reducing calorie intake often results in long term weight gain.
- 2 liters of water per day? Again: a made up number. ZERO evidence.
- The BMI? Not remotely based on science. Absolute bullshit.
- Being ‘overweight’ or ‘obese’ is bad for you? Heavily disputed for all but the highest weight categories.
- And of course: there is no evidence based way to lose weight and keep it off. The idea that people can decide to be thinner if not supported by evidence. Almost every study shows that almost all humans just keep returning to their set weight again and again.
- Vitamin supplements? We still don’t really know why they sometimes work and sometimes don’t. Your body seems to decide whether to absorb them pretty much on a whim.
It all falls apart the moment you go looking for evidence. It’s such a sham.
Since the first do-over somehow sounded even more like ass, I remastered/redid the whole track now that I have more experience.
Picture this as the OST for a surprise XTRA WAVE during the next Big Run. Even better if this "King Salmonid" isn't announced anywhere beforehand.
Imagine, if you will, that distorted victory jingle plays to signify a King Salmonid, but nothing happens. All eight(?!) players Super Jump back to their starting locations and Mr. Grizz pipes in to express his confusion. Then he notices... no, no, he definitely sent out a four-man squad! Why are there more of you? How long have these conspicuous individuals in the same uniform been trying to blend in amogus? Are those Grizzco weapons?!
Then without a word, the interlopers all open fire at once. Cue the music.
Although the firefight would break out as the music kicks off, the 100-sec Xtra Wave would only officially start at 0:22 — when the Grizzco helicopter is blasted out of the sky with a Trizooka, careening into the ocean in a catastrophic, firey wreck. Mr. Grizz lets out a long, garbled string of curses and hails the emergency speedboat he prepared in advance to come pick you up. But will it make it to your squad in time? Here's hoping.

Ditching the odd time signatures and overdriven timpanis in favor of breakcore drum loops is kinda like sanitizing what made the music ω-3 (the band for Salmon Run) special and shoving what's left in a place where it don't belong — which is similar to my interpretation of what "salmonlings" would be like. Literal fish out of water.
Salminid culture is heavily tied to the belief in the circle of life (via being cooked alive). It's why they're so willing to zerg rush players during Salmon Runs. So imagine being torn away from said cycle, altered so irrevocably that you barely recognize yourself. My intent was to capture that feeling of horrid mania, and the music I sampled from/covered lended itself well to that, I think.
I've also found a good in-universe performer at last: DJ Unregistered Hypercam 3 (by @teethflavoured on Tumblr), a retired Mudmouth turned solo artist for whom I instantly fell head-over-heels.
